As we approach 15 years of partnership with Holstein UK and their subsidiary companies, the relationship between Sandicliffe Motor Contracts and Holstein UK remains as strong as ever.
Being the largest independent breed society in Europe, Holstein UK are at the heart of the dairy industry. Over the past decade, the Society has built up an extensive portfolio of services which are designed to assist their members in breeding profitable, robust, and productive dairy cattle.
Our initial discussions ‘way back when’ all came about because of a general dissatisfaction in the service and attention provided by their incumbent suppliers whose sole focus seemed to be the size of the fleet rather than listening or responding to customer needs.

The nature of their business and the graded, user chooser policy dictates that a diverse range of vehicles is needed to cope with the multiple job functions carried out in their day-to-day business activities. The increased and broad range of vehicles, including SUVs, has allowed us to recommend vehicles that are not only fit for purpose, but also satisfy driver expectations and fleet budget requirements.
Originally providing just traditional full maintenance contract hire, Holstein UK appreciated our desire to work with them in formulating an effective and efficient fleet policy whilst meeting budget criteria, and over recent years, have introduced our Driver Licence check service and Accident management service, both of which have proved to be highly effective in terms of minimising administration, reducing costs, and improving the support available to drivers. Short Term Lease, Daily Hire vehicles and vehicle movement services have also proved invaluable.
When we asked Peter whether he would recommend our service to another business, the answer was “Yes. I would recommend anyone I know to speak with Sandicliffe Motor Contracts if they need a first-class service”.
