SMC placed a respectable third place for their awards category at the ABP Club Awards amongst hundred of nominees.

The Auto Body Professionals Club (ABP Club) was formed in September 2004 with the mission ‘to see the body repair industry prosper‘. Now running for over a decade the organisation has attracted over 2,500 individual members from all sides of the industry from repairers and insurance companies through to equipment and paint manufacturers.

Although not an association, the club is recognised widely within the repair industry and works closely to provide influence with associations connected to the repair industry which support club members.

The ABP’s Repairers Choice Awards were recorded from thousands of ratings given to suppliers within the industry of which SMC have been recognised for as a top three company within the category of Courtesy Car & Replacement Car Provider.

Alastair Houston, Managing Director at Sandicliffe Motor Contracts commented:

“The team have worked extensively over the years to deliver excellence in customer service within the courtesy car and bodyshop industry. As a company we are very proud that we have been shortlisted as a finalist and top three company by ABP. We would like to thank our customers as well as ABP for recognising Sandicliffe Motor Contracts in this year’s award finals”.

Celebrating 10 years

Now in its 10th year, the annual Repairers Choice awards returned in November where the team from SMC will await the outcome.

Proud of the event, ABP Club Chairman, David Cresswell said,

“The ABP Club annual Repairers Choice awards started in 2008 and are unique in our industry as they are the only awards where the winners are decided exclusively by the repairers. This year saw a record 439 bodyshops taking part and providing over 12,000 ratings on 160 of their key suppliers.”

The winners were announced at the Night of Knights event on Tuesday 13th November at the Vox Conference centre on the NEC complex in Birmingham where Sandicliffe Motor Contracts picked up third place in their category.
