Local charity Rainbows was delighted to take delivery of its new car this week – a Nissan Note supplied by Sandicliffe Motor Contracts.

As the only dedicated hospice for children and young people in the East Midlands, Rainbows provide free of charge respite, palliative and end of life care to children and young people with life limiting or life-threatening conditions. For over twenty years Rainbows has been caring for thousands of young people, and their families and friends.

To show our support for one of the region’s most specialist charities, Sandicliffe Motor Contracts has supplied Rainbows with a car for the past nine years and today was the day to trade in their previous Ford Fiesta for a new Nissan Note.

Complete with Rainbows livery, the Nissan Note was collected by Andy Lupton from Rainbows and handed over by Sandicliffe Motor Contracts’ Trish Halford.

“It’s really important for us at Rainbows to be able to get out and about in the community,” said Andy.

“Sandicliffe has been kind enough these past few years to help us achieve this through the sole use of one of their vehicles.

“This single car enables us to expand our services in so many ways – from making home visits to visiting local schools and businesses for fundraising events – we are so thankful to Sandicliffe for enabling us to offer more for the children and young people we work with.”

The Rainbows’ impressive facility is located in Loughborough, Leicestershire and offers 14 bedrooms, family rooms, beautiful gardens and other facilities like a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, soft-play room and a cinema.

“It’s a great feeling to know that we can help Rainbows in any way that we can,” commented Trish, Courtesy Car Development Manager at Sandicliffe Motor Contracts.

“As a vehicle leasing company its can be challenging to see how we can make a difference in the local community but by working with Rainbows, we can see the direct impact one vehicle can have.

“We are thrilled to see Rainbows and the people they work with make the most out of one of our cars.”
