SMC are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the ABP’s Repairers Choice awards for the category in Courtesy Car and Replacement Car Provider 2018.

The Auto Body Professionals Club (ABP Club) was formed in September 2004 with the mission ‘to see the body repair industry prosper‘. Now running for over a decade the organisation has attracted over 2,500 individual members from all sides of the industry from repairers and insurance companies through to equipment and paint manufacturers.

Although not an association, the club is recognised widely within the repair industry and works closely to provide influence with associations connected to the repair industry which support club members.

The ABP’s Repairers Choice Awards are recorded from thousands of ratings given to suppliers within the industry of which SMC have been recognised for and have come into contention with for the award nomination thanks to the hard work of the SMC team.

Alastair Houston, Managing Director at Sandicliffe Motor Contracts commented:

“The team have worked extensively over the years to deliver excellence in customer service within the courtesy car and bodyshop industry. As a company we are very proud that we have been shortlisted as a finalist. We would like to thank our customers as well as ABP for recognising Sandicliffe Motor Contracts in this year’s award finals and look forward to attending the ceremony”.

Celebarting 10 years

Now in its 10th year, the annual Repairers Choice awards returns in November where the team from SMC will await the outcome.

Proud of the event, ABP Club Chairman, David Cresswell said,

“The ABP Club annual Repairers Choice awards started in 2008 and are unique in our industry as they are the only awards where the winners are decided exclusively by the repairers. This year saw a record 439 bodyshops taking part and providing over 12,000 ratings on 160 of their key suppliers. The four finalists for each award are the four businesses who scored the highest average ratings from the bodyshops, which enables businesses of all sizes to go head to head equally for the chance to receive an award.”

Mr Cresswell, further added,

“The winners will be announced in front of over 600 guests at our Night of Knights event on Tuesday 13 November at the stunning Vox conference centre in Birmingham and we wish all our finalists the very best of luck.”

Voting for the event closed 26th October 2018 and the winners with the highest average rating will be announced at the Night of Knights event on Tuesday 13th November at the Vox Conference centre on the NEC complex in Birmingham.
